Peachtree Hotel Group and Celebration Pointe Holdings Break Ground on 140-Room Hotel Indigo in Gainesville, Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla./ATLANTA, Ga., August 3, 2017— Officials of a joint venture comprised of Peachtree Hotel Group (PHG), one of the nation’s fastest-growing hotel investment and management platforms, and Celebration Pointe Holdings (CPH) today broke ground on the 140-room Hotel Indigo® property in Gainesville, Fla. The hotel, which will be operated by PHG, is expected to open in August 2018.
“The Hotel Indigo Gainesville is one of the anchor tenants of the brand-new Celebration Pointe, north central Florida’s premier mixed-use development, complete with the area’s finest dining, entertainment, business and living options,” said Lee Shuman, PHG director of project management. “Gainesville has long since grown beyond being just a ‘college town,’ and Celebration Pointe was designed to capture the growing number of business and leisure travelers to the community.”
Strategically located within the mixed development project between SW 49th Terrace and SW 50th Terrace, facing a park setting, the six-story hotel will feature plush bedding,
hard-surface flooring with area rugs and spa-inspired bathrooms. The Hotel Indigo Gainesville will provide a neighborhood bar with seasonal and locally sourced food in a stylish environment.
“Today’s guests are focused on experiential travel, desiring to feel like they’re a part of the community as opposed to nameless tourists,” said Patrick O’Neil, president of Peachtree Hospitality Management. “To those ends, in addition to our localized F&B offerings, the hotel also will feature Hotel Indigo’s new Neighborhood Guide, an innovative touchscreen display that connects guests to each other, the local neighborhood and to sister hotels worldwide. Our team members, many of whom are locals themselves, are well versed in a variety of helpful recommendations.”
“On behalf of CPH, we are very excited about getting this very important piece of the overall project out of the ground,” said Ralph Conti, co-managing partner with Celebration Development Partners, the exclusive development manager for Celebration Pointe. “The Hotel Indigo brand coincides very nicely with the overall experience we will deliver for all who set foot on this property.”
“I fully expect this will be the region’s signature hotel,” said Sean McIntosh, senior vice president of Asset Management for Celebration Pointe. “We are delighted to have Hotel Indigo as a part of the Celebration Pointe family.”
PHG continues to seek additional acquisition and development opportunities. To discuss additional growth possibilities, contact Brent LeBlanc at 713-666-2544 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
